Boarding dogs follow the same daily routine as our daycare dogs. They wake up, settle in, spend the day playing with their group, get rest breaks and enrichment time, and wind down before bedtime.
The only difference? At the end of the day, instead of going home, they get a cozy kennel, a soft bed, and an evening check-in from our staff.

Morning: Boarding dogs start their day just like daycare dogs — greeted individually, given time to settle, and eased into the morning routine.

Morning: Matched playgroups based on size and temperament. Supervised by trained staff. Outdoor turf yard and indoor play rooms both available.

We do not have staff sleeping on site overnight. What we do have is a state-of-the-art AI camera system, motion sensors, a fire alarm, and a final in-person check-in at 10 PM every single night. This combination gives us — and you — reliable overnight oversight without the disruption of nighttime staff activity around your sleeping dog.
Emergency Protocol
Every dog’s Gingr profile includes emergency contact information, preferred veterinarian, and care authorization. In the event of a medical emergency:
- Staff will provide immediate care and contact the owner using profile information
- Veterinary care will be sought at the owner's preferred vet or nearest emergency clinic. Veterinary costs are the responsibility of the owner unless the incident was caused by Mellow Fellow negligence
- If a dog bites another dog in our care, the owner of the dog responsible for the bite will be liable for the injured dog's veterinary costs.
- Owners are notified immediately — no delays
- Emergency contact information can be updated in the Gingr app at any time

- Checkout time: 12:00 PM (noon). Pickup after noon = full-day daycare rate added.
- Extended stays: Credit card charged every 7 days for stays over 7 nights.
- Cancellation: 24-hour advance notice required. Late cancellations may incur a fee.
- Holiday reservations: Required in advance. Stricter cancellation policy applies.
- Vaccination requirement: Rabies, Bordetella, and DHPP must be current before arrival.
- Spay/Neuter policy: Intact dogs over 8 months require documentation for group play consideration.
What to Bring
- Your dog’s food — labeled with their name and feeding instructions (bringing their own food prevents stomach upset from a diet change)
- Any medications with clear written instructions, labeled with name, dosage, and schedule
- A collar or harness with ID tags
- Optional: a favorite blanket or toy for comfort in the kennel at night

Your dog checks in during business hours and is set up in their private kennel. During the day they join our daycare playgroups at no extra charge. In the evening they wind down in their kennel with fresh water and bedding. Staff check in on every boarding dog throughout the evening, with a final check at 10 PM.
Staff are not sleeping on site overnight. What we do have is an AI-enabled security camera system that monitors all overnight areas, motion sensors, fire alarms, and a final in-person staff check-in at 10 PM every night. This gives your dog reliable, low-disruption overnight oversight.
Bring your dog’s regular food labeled with their name and feeding instructions, any medications with clear written instructions, a collar or harness, and optionally a comfort item like a blanket or toy. We provide bedding, food and water bowls, and blankets.
Rabies, Bordetella (Kennel Cough), and DHPP. All must be current. Records can be uploaded in the Gingr app, emailed to info@mellowfellowdogs.com, or sent directly from your vet.
We will contact you immediately using the information in your Gingr profile. If veterinary care is needed, we will transport your dog to your preferred vet or the nearest emergency clinic following your authorization instructions. Emergency contact details can be updated in your Gingr profile at any time.
A holiday surcharge may apply during peak dates such as Thanksgiving, Christmas, July 4, and Memorial Day. Any additional fees will be communicated clearly at the time of booking.
Yes. Every boarding dog participates in our full daycare program during the day at no additional cost. They join the same supervised playgroups, use the same indoor and outdoor play areas, and get the same enrichment activities as daycare dogs.
